Camu has beautiful portrayed the destiny of a man, his acceptance of the things in this world, the never ending process of life and death.
The protagonist came to the truth of the life in a jail where he realized the virtue of small things which are too precious to be happy for. We take things for granted, the free air, the beautiful sunlight, the chirping of birds and the freedom to move around.
But ultimately the protagonist get disenchanted with life he realized that life has an end it may be sooner or later. Camu tried to find the answer of life, the meaning of life through this novel.
